Executing the EQR Role

Overview

The Engagement Quality Reviewer (EQR) plays a pivotal role in audit quality. Many of the challenges associated with the EQR role arise in practice and how the role is executed, not from the standard itself. The session provides an overview of who can be an EQR, identifies key EQR responsibilities, and provides guidance on how to conduct an EQR and interact with the engagement team to meet the requirements of CSQM 2 and CAS 220.

Through practical examples and real-life scenarios, participants will explore how to conduct effective and efficient engagement quality reviews, including interacting with the engagement team, understanding the role of the EQR, and appreciating what the EQR is, and is not, responsible for within the engagement.
